Skott Burkland - Chairman, RSA Americas

Skott Burkland Skott Burkland graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in 1964, where he majored in Political Science. He did postgraduate work in Business Administration and Finance at Rutgers University and Drexel University.

He was a Vice President with Wilkinson, Sedwick & Yelverton, a prominent A.E.S.C. West Coast-based executive search firm, prior to founding Skott/Edwards Consultants in 1974. He had been Vice President of Personnel for the United States Consumer Products Division of the Singer Company and also served the company as Worldwide Director of Recruiting.

In addition, he was a Personnel Officer with the Operating Group of Citibank in New York City, and a Manager of Recruiting for W.R. Grace & Co., in New York City. He has been a member of the management committee of Penrhyn International, a partnership of twelve (12) executive search firms with offices throughout the world. He has served the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) for seven years as a Member of the Board of Directors and has been a member and co-chair of the Ethics Committee.

The New Career Makers, authored by John Sibbald, Editions 1, 2 and 3, lists him as one of the top 100 Executive Recruiters in the United States, and Nancy Garrison-Jenn included him in her book "The Global 200 Executive Recruiters – An Essential Guide to the Best Recruiters in the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America."
