RSA strengthens global operations

RSA has strengthened its worldwide operations with a number of appointments, as the company continues to see strong growth.

Kim Spence has joined as PA to chief executive Nick Stephens. Kim brings a wealth of experience, including more than a decade with pharmaceutical manufacturer Pharmacia, where her roles included project manager for the Nicorette Yacht and co-ordinating UK communications for Nicorette. Kim will be using her PR/marketing experience at RSA. She says: "With RSA enjoying such a growth phase, it's an exciting time to be here, with so many opportunities being created."

Chantal Williams has become a key member of RSA's executive search manufacturing and quality practice. Her previous experience in life sciences executive search includes time at Futurestep, a division of Korn/Ferry International. Chantal has a proven track record of placing senior life sciences professionals for local and international pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices companies. She says: "I joined RSA to build upon my expertise and work in a collaborative environment that puts the client's needs first. In particular, it's a fascinating time for manufacturing and QA, with the industry trend towards contract manufacturing organisations and outsourced solutions, as well as the growth of biopharmaceutical manufacture."

Dinesh Chauhan has joined as a clinical research and regulatory affairs consultant in the executive search practice. He brings with him a wealth of experience of recruiting into pharmaceutical and life science organisations. A chemistry and food science graduate, Dinesh gained a masters in scientific instrumentation before working for Unilever and Cadbury Schweppes. He says: "Having worked in pharmaceutical recruitment for the past 10 years, the opportunity to join RSA at a time when it is expanding internationally is one I jumped at. This is an exciting time to work in clinical and regulatory executive resourcing. With regulatory authorities having more stringent requirements and pharmaceutical companies increasing their strategic use of outsourcing, the dynamics of the market are changing."

Will Kattell is senior client consultant for RSA Americas. He has over 10 years experience of finding senior executives for the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, including eight years at Johnson and Johnson and most recently, at Daiichi Sankyo. He said: "As a former RSA client myself, I have always been impressed by the strength of its reputation across Europe for placing high calibre candidates. I want to contribute significantly to growing the US operation, where the potential is huge, particularly in areas such as oncology and 'personalised' medicine. I'm looking forward to introducing organisations to great talent."

Ronja Glorius has joined RSA's German office as a trainee researcher. Supporting all consultants across RSA Consulting GmbH, Ronja said: "I was attracted by the prospect of working for a dynamic company in a varied and people-focused role."
