Key appointments in Europe and Far East strengthen RSA's global operations

RSA has strengthened its worldwide operations with a number of appointments.

Dr Renu Vijh joins as senior consultant within RSA's executive search division. Based in the company's Hatfield headquarters, Renu specialises in recruiting senior executives within the life sciences sector, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices, CRO and private equity/venture capital sectors. Renu also has significant experience of conducting international searches across North America, Asia and Central Europe.

Renu brings almost a decade of experience of recruitment within this sector. Most recently, she was a principal consultant within the life sciences and healthcare practice at Odgers, Ray & Berndtson. Before that, she built and led a life sciences team with an international AIM-listed organisation. Renu has worked for several of the world's largest global executive search firms, helping both emerging and established organisations to fill critical roles.

She has a BSc (Honours) in Biochemistry from Dundee University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Hull. Renu said: "I chose to join RSA because of its strong reputation in the marketplace. In addition, the culture is collegiate in its approach, promoting team work. It really is a highly entrepreneurial, commercially vibrant environment, yet the company retains a family feel. And of course it's a highly exciting time to join, as RSA moves into its next phase of development."

Kenny Chen has become RSA Singapore's first contingency consultant. He takes up his role after already establishing himself as a key member of RSA Singapore's research team. Prior to joining RSA, Kenny was a product specialist with Merck KgAa. His 'patch' was concentrated on Singapore's main bio research hub, Biopolis. Kenny said: "It's such an exciting time in Singapore, with so many biotech and pharmaceutical companies choosing to establish R&D centres here." Kenny has a BSc (Hons) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan.

Cecilia Meijer has joined RSA Switzerland as a researcher. She has previous experience in pharmaceutical recruitment as a consultant and researcher with a UK-based firm, where she dealt with both contract and permanent assignments. Cecilia is fluent in Italian, German, English and her native Dutch.

Tamsyn Gillan-Barton has joined the Hatfield team as a researcher. With a BSc degree in Human Communication Science, Tamsyn previously worked within HR. She said: "I am delighted to be working with such a strong, supportive team."
