RSA Pharmarecruit expands with four new appointments

RSA has strengthened its contingency business, RSA Pharmarecruit, with the appointment of four new consultants in the last year, bringing the team to a total of nine.

Mark Johnson, the latest addition to the team, has three years’ scientific contingency recruitment experience, coupled with a BSc in applied biology and a laboratory background in biopharmaceutical microbiology. He said: “I wanted to work for a company that could offer more opportunities to progress my career and broaden my technical exposure. RSA is expanding and there is the potential to work abroad in Europe, the US or Singapore on diverse and technically challenging positions.”

Natalie Hubble is working specifically in regulatory affairs. Natalie started her career in bench science R&D. She moved into the public sector to run a university clinical placement programme for student nurses. She joined RSA from a major high street recruitment agency where she was involved in developing new business. She says of joining RSA: “I liked the feel of the company. There’s a real team atmosphere that’s all about doing what’s best for the clients and the candidates. “

Simon Loader, who has over six years’ recruitment experience with permanent and interim managers within the finance, accounting and commercial sectors, joined RSA to specialise in sales and marketing and develop his career. He said: “I like the fact that RSA is involved in what is a complex and diverse industry. The company has a very focused approach and is keen to develop long-term relationships with clients and candidates.”

Tim Wagstaff has a BSc in biochemistry and an MSc in computer science. He has worked in pharmaceutical recruitment since October 2004, having previously worked in laboratory based roles in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Tim said: “I wanted to work for a company that had genuine industry experience. There is such a lot of expertise at RSA and that is something that I can learn from and it will support what I am doing.”
