New French office extends RSA's global footprint

Global life sciences executive search specialist, RSA, has expanded its worldwide operations by opening a new office in France.

The Paris-based office will be headed by Priscilla Motte-Lecoeur, a life sciences recruitment expert, with almost a decade in senior-level pharma and biotech executive search.

The new French team is poised to support the burgeoning French pharma and biotech industries, providing them with high-level executive talent.

"It's an excellent time for RSA to be opening in France," Priscilla said. "Life sciences are very highly regarded in France and there is a strong pool of qualified professionals in life sciences and research."

"The French Government - including President Nicolas Sarkozy - are very supportive of life sciences, and we have many major players here including Sanofi-aventis, GSK, Allergan and Bayer Schering, as well as Biomerieux, Servier, Galderma, Pierre Fabre and Ipsen."

"There are also tax relief and tax credit incentives available, particularly for young, innovative biotech companies. A number of biotech clusters have also been established in major cities throughout France, including Paris and Lyon, as well as Strasbourg and Marseilles and other major cities, each focusing on a different therapeutic area."

"RSA is just what France needs. We have some excellent high-level executive talent and we have good national support for the life sciences industry, which is backed by Government incentives. What was missing was a life sciences recruitment specialist with a global reach and an established, proven track record."

"Our aim in France will be to support pharma, biotech, medical device and diagnostics companies with the high-calibre executive professionals they need to continue to expand and flourish."

Nick Stephens, CEO of RSA, said: "We are delighted to welcome Priscilla to the RSA team. The formation of RSA France further consolidates our European presence where we already have established offices in Germany and Switzerland, as well as two in the UK."
