Shawn O’Connor is an Executive Search professional, with extensive experience leading search efforts for global organizations, ranging from large and specialty pharmaceuticals to biotechnology, medical devices/diagnostics and consumer OTC companies. He has a deep understanding of the Life Sciences sector, including the issues that cause a significant impact on the industry as a whole; allowing Shawn to effectively advise companies on their leadership/recruitment requirements and identify and recruit exceptionally talented executives.

Shawn joined RSA Americas in 2007, and he brought over 20 years of corporate experience with Fortune Fifty Companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Nabisco and GE. Prior to joining RSA, Shawn was Vice President, Human Resources at Johnson & Johnson. Before this, he was a key member of the Johnson & Johnson management team that developed and implemented a centralized talent acquisition and management process for their 30+ operating divisions.

Shawn has in-depth experience in the assessment of executive talent throughout an organization to ensure the strategic and operational alignment of senior leadership teams. He has extensive experience in leading and driving business successes in the pharmaceutical, medical device and consumer products industries and focuses on aligning senior management teams, developing succession planning processes recruiting strategies and executive development.

Shawn graduated from Upsala College in East Orange, NJ in 1983, where he majored in Human Resources Management. He did postgraduate work in Organizational Psychology at Columbia University.
