Dr Patricia Lobo

Patricia LoboAs Managing Partner with RSA Consulting, Patricia Lobo applies the experience from her distinguished industrial track record to the task of leading RSA's in-house and "virtual" teams, ensuring that clients receive a consistent, reliable and high quality service.

For 15 years until 2007, Patricia was a management consultant in the lifescience industry at Technomark where she gained a considerable reputation on the International stage supporting pharma and biotech clients with assignments in manufacturing, clinical research, product development, due diligence, strategic planning and marketing. Projects included advice to corporate finance and equity organisations on M&As and investment.

Patricia began her career in the UK pharmaceutical sector in the Quality Control Department of a contract manufacturer before moving to the R&D Department at GD Searle (now Pfizer). After working in dermatology for Stiefel Laboratories as a CRA, in 1986 Patricia was appointed as Senior Clinical Research Scientist with Farmitalia Carlo Erba (now Pfizer) for Phase I/Phase II and later Phase III/Phase IV clinical trials in oncology. She joined Schering Plough as Oncology Business Unit Manager and was later Business Development Manager for oncology and virology.

Patricia, with a degree in Chemistry and Microbiology, obtained an MSc in Biochemistry from University College London and a PhD in Biochemical Pharmacology from the University of Hertfordshire. She also completed a one-year intensive business training programme at the University of Warwick.

Patricia is editor of World Pharma Network (WPhN), an international magazine covering topics in R&D, clinical research and manufacturing. She also edited Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Packing Sourcer (PMPS) for nine years, while publishing various articles for trade magazines, including GCP journal, PTE, Dose magazine and Scrip.
