Alentis Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing breakthrough therapies for fibrosis and oncology. The company applies deep biological insight to target disease-driving pathways, with a particular focus on conditions such as lung fibrosis that represent areas of high unmet medical need. Alentis operates in a highly regulated environment and advances programmes towards stringent global health authority requirements.

The Situation

Alentis required a Senior Clinical Scientist with strong expertise in lung fibrosis to support the scientific and clinical development of its programmes. The role demanded deep experience in clinical study design, protocol development and regulatory-compliant documentation in line with ICH-GCP standards. Given the complexity of the programmes and the need for close collaboration with clinical operations, regulatory, quality and safety teams, immediate senior scientific support was essential. An interim solution was chosen to ensure continuity, provide hands-on expertise, and support ongoing clinical activities while allowing the company to assess longer-term organisational needs.

The Outcome

We placed an Interim Senior Clinical Scientist who joined Alentis for an initial nine-month assignment. The interim provided scientific leadership across clinical studies, led the development and review of key study documents, and supported protocol writing and amendments for submission to health authorities. They worked closely with clinical operations, CROs and external partners, contributed to investigator meetings, and ensured alignment with ICH-GCP and regulatory requirements. The interim also supported publication activities and internal processes, demonstrating strong cross-functional collaboration and scientific rigour. Due to the high quality of delivery, cultural fit and sustained impact, the assignment was successfully converted into a permanent role, providing Alentis with long-term continuity and retained expertise within the organisation.
