The Client

Lundbeck is a global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Denmark, specialising in the research, development and commercialisation of innovative therapies for brain diseases. The company focuses on conditions such as depression, Parkinson’s disease and other neurological and psychiatric disorders.

The Situation

Lundbeck required experienced epidemiological expertise to support long-term projects within its global organisation. Rather than creating a permanent role, the company opted for an interim solution to ensure continuity, flexibility and immediate access to specialised knowledge aligned with evolving scientific and regulatory requirements.

The Outcome

We successfully placed an Interim Epidemiologist at Lundbeck in February 2017. The initial assignment was planned until the end of 2018, but due to the ongoing value and stability provided by the interim, the engagement has been renewed repeatedly in two-year extensions. The role is currently confirmed until the end of 2027. Over more than a decade, the interim has ensured consistent epidemiological expertise, supported complex projects, and provided long-term continuity without the constraints of a permanent hire.
