RSA has embarked on a partnership with Turkey’s leading life sciences executive search consultancy, FarmaCity. The partnership will enable clients entering or growing their operations in Turkey’s rapidly expanding life sciences sector to engage and retain the key executives who will bring them the local knowledge and industry expertise they require.

Turkey is 10th in the IMS Health list of 17 high-growth pharmaceutical markets or ‘pharmerging’ countries. One of the ‘fast follower’ countries, Turkey is expected to contribute $1.5 billion in annual sales growth by 2013. The new partnership has been established to enable both companies to better serve clients who need senior executive talent.

Nick Stephens, CEO of RSA, says that RSA was looking for a partner that had a great reputation, in-depth local knowledge and a market-leading track record that matched RSA’s delivery record. ‘FarmaCity is a perfect partner for us. Together we can better serve the growing community of life sciences companies based in Istanbul, develop new executive search assignments in Turkey and establish a strong bridge-head for the Middle East.”

Managing Director of FarmaCity, Esra Guney Baris, is similarly enthusiastic. “We are based in the heart of Turkey, in Istanbul. Istanbul is becoming more popular in the Life Sciences industry, where most of the major pharma and medical companies are rapidly establishing their regional headquarters. Istanbul is the gateway to the CIS and Middle East markets. Our job will be to help RSA manage those clients and relationships. The partnership means that we can provide our clients with a much wider perspective as well as a global executive search facility.”

Nick concludes: “I am proud of the fact that during this difficult economic climate in which many companies are forced to downsize, RSA continues to expand into growth markets, new markets and existing geographies.”
