David joined RSA in 2017 to keep finances running while the finance team was expanded and has remained with us ever since. He has nearly 40 years’ experience working in finance from industrial and service companies , to manufacturing companies and previously as a Finance Manager at Claude Lyons Limited, where he managed a small finance team reporting directly to directors and shareholders. Past responsibilities include rationalising and improving internal finance systems – a skill utilised by RSA when the accounting system was updated.

David’s skills and in-depth knowledge of finance systems has been invaluable to us in recent years as we have expanded our global reach. His patience and precision mean that finance reports are spot on; our business leaders can make quick decisions based on accurate and detailed reports.

David was previously a cadet leader in his spare time, specialising in campcraft and military history, but has turned his skills to volunteering for a preserved railway as well as building his own miniature ride-on railway at home.
